Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

Thanks for shopping at LIGHTINOLOGY. We appreciate the fact that you like to buy the stuff we build. We also want to make sure you have a rewarding experience while you're exploring, evaluating, and purchasing our products. As with any shopping experience, there are terms and conditions that apply to transactions at LIGHTINOLOGY. We'll be as brief as our attorneys will allow. The main thing to remember is that by placing an order or making a purchase at LIGHTINOLOGY, you agree to the terms set forth below along with LIGHTINOLOGY's Privacy Policy.

If there's something wrong with the product you bought, or if you are not happy with it, you have 30 Days to issue a refund and return your item. We are not obligated to provide a refund if you change your mind after 30 Days you received the product.

If you would like to return a product, the only way would be if you follow the next guidelines: "The product has to be in the packaging we sent in the first place."



Warranty period for products are warranted for 2 year from date of purchase. During the warranty period, the light intensity can fall due to lumen depreciation without considered as a defect. Events of failure should be reported without delay to by email ( or, alternatively, via the contact page instruction. The warranty does not cover:
(1) Defects caused by the fact that the device is not installed correctly.
(2) Failure caused by negligent maintenance or improper storage of the device.
(3) User-induced damage to the device.
(4) Faults caused by a lightning strike or voltage change, or any other similar factors caused by external factors.
(5) Changes and repairs of parts such as LEDs, drivers, optics, etc. third party components and modules, which component manufacturer warranty has expired.
(6) Product labels has been modified or removed.

Please noted all installations must be performed in accordance with local electrical codes of practice. All installation matters and failures related to installation matters must be the installers responsibility and will remain so throughout the life of the product. In no event LIGHTINOLOGY will be liable to the purchaser for any damages, including loss of profits, lost savings or any other incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the product or any claim by any other party. All claims are limited to the repair or the replacement of the products only and do not include any labour or project delays.



We at LIGHTINOLOGY commit ourselves to serving our customers with the best products. Every single product that you choose is thoroughly inspected, checked for defects and packaged with utmost care. We do this to ensure that you fall in love with our products. Sadly, there are times when we may not have the product(s) that you choose in stock, or may face some issues with our inventory and quality check. In such cases, we may have to cancel your order. You will be intimated about it in advance so that you don't have to worry unnecessarily about your order. If you have purchased via Online payment (not Cash on Delivery), then you will be refunded once our team confirms your request.

We carry out thorough quality check before processing the ordered item. We take utmost care while packing the product. At the same time we ensure that the packing is good such that the items won't get damaged during transit. Please note that LIGHTINOLOGY is not liable for damages that are caused to the items during transit or transportation. We will revise your returned product as soon as we receive it and if it follows the guidelines addressed above, we will proceed to issue a refund of your purchase. Your refund may take a couple of days to process but you will be notified when you receive your money.

The shipping costs of the original order are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping on the original order will be deducted from your refund. Moreover, orders returned from the customers might occur applicable taxes and customs duties will also deducted from the refund.


EXCEPTIONS we cannot accept Returns/Refunds of

(1) Installed or assembled product.
(2) Products not in their original status and packaging.
(3) The product details page has clearly identified non-returnable products.
(4) Large quantities of the same product (greater than or equal to 10), custom or special order products. Before placing a bulk or special order or custom product, we encourage you to ask for as much information as you need - including samples, etc.


Return Shipping

LIGHTINOLOGY is not responsible for return shipping. Shipping has to be paid by the customer every time, and even if the item is free in the first place, the customer has to pay shipping in return. The customer shall using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance; otherwise, we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Lightinology, 9F.-1, No. 213, Sec. 2, Xinyi Rd., Zhongzheng Dist., Taipei City 100016, Taiwan (R.O.C.) and clearly mark the box ‘Returns’.


Damaged Goods

We ask that you report receipt of damaged products via the contact page within 48 hours of delivery and do not discard damaged items and their packaging. If you fail to report the damage within this time frame, we will not be able to file a claim with the carrier, which means we cannot be held liable for the damage. LIGHTINOLOGY not responsible for reimbursement of any labor costs or project delays that may occur due to receipt of damaged goods. We always recommend that you wait until your fixtures arrive and have been inspected before arranging for installation.


Defective Goods

We undertake to repair or replace any product delivered to you that is faulty. We ask that you report any product defects via the contact page within 30 days of receiving your order. After 30 days, LIGHTINOLOGY will make every effort to replace your product, but charges may apply. Replacements are free and we will cover any returns and shipping for replacement products. Please do not discard the defective product until you have received these instructions. Failure to follow these instructions (such as failure to return a defective product or failure to send requested photos of damaged items) may result in delayed replacement or replacement charges. LIGHTINOLOGY not responsible for reimbursement of any labor costs or project delays that may occur due to receipt of defective goods.


Exchange Goods

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please return the items to us and place a new order.


Product Availability and Limitations

Given the popularity and/or supply constraints of some of our products, LIGHTINOLOGY may have to limit the number of products available for purchase. Trust us, we are building them as fast as we can. LIGHTINOLOGY reserves the right to change quantities available for purchase at any time, even after you place an order. Furthermore, there may be occasions when LIGHTINOLOGY confirms your order but subsequently learns that it cannot supply the ordered product. In the event we cannot supply a product you ordered, LIGHTINOLOGY will cancel the order and refund your purchase price in full.

Changes To Our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

Should we update, amend or make any changes to this document so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, those changes will be prominently posted here. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Return & Refund Policy. If you do not want to agree to this or any updated Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy, you can delete your account.
